Lime Garden – Maybe Not Tonight
Brighton’s Lime Garden return with “Maybe Not Tonight”, their first new material since 2024’s debut album “One More Thing”. The track pushes into darker, glitchier territory than their previous work, with production and mixing by Charlie Andrew and mastering by Felix Davis.
The song captures someone caught between wanting to escape and feeling trapped in their discomfort. The narrator lists what they want, dancing with friends, smoking cigarettes, kissing strangers, but keeps pulling back. They don’t feel comfortable in their body. They’re not into faking it. When someone wants a free ride, the answer is clear: maybe not tonight.
“It’s the soundtrack to a woman on the edge of making all the wrong choices,” the band explains. “It feels like getting punched in the face with the morning after a night out.” The production matches that frantic energy, featuring glitchy elements and a driving rhythm that never lets up.
Lime Garden is supporting Everything Everything on their UK tour later this month before heading out on their headline run in March 2026, hitting Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol, and London.
